‘juicetank’ combined charger and iPhone case

the ‘juicetank‘ is a combined charger and case for iPhone, designed by jesse pliner and lloyd gladstone. the design is simple: a collapsible plug unit is built into the lower back of the polycarbonate case, letting users plug the phone in its case directly into an outlet. featuring a rubberized finish, the device also leaves the micro USB port free to permit charging and syncing of the phone via computer.

the first planned release of ‘juicetank’ is dual voltage (110v/240v) and features the NEMA 1 plug common to north america and mexico, although a european model would be feasible with the same design philosophy. future models could also include a built-in battery.

the project is currently seeking kickstarter funding: ‘juicetank’ campaign page.
