have you ever seen a land rover ‘defender’ conquer some rough terrain, and say to yourself ’you know what, that vehicle needs more wheels.’ afzal kahn and his team at kahn design said ‘yes’ to that statement, and decided to stretched the classic off-roader to create a unique prototype, the ’flying huntsman 6×6’. they started by extending the bonnet by 400mm and pulling the rear cabin by 800mm, as well as broadening the car by 150 mm. mechanically, kahn design added a third axle, and added a two front-wheel and four back-wheel configuration with matte black rims with dependable all terrain tires. a heavy duty chassis, upgraded suspension and braking, high-low drive system and locking differentials ensure this six wheeled defender is more than just a show car. 30 hp V8 engine with a six speed automatic gearbox keeps this massive metal machine moving, in addition to upgraded stainless steel exhaust system.

the team extended the bonnet and the rear cabin

apart from the compounded length and mechanical overhauls, the styling package includes a bulkier front bumper, fresh grille and plenty of kahn badging, giving it an audacious, unhinged look to match its stretched six wheel form. the interior, passengers will find red leather sports seated with wool inserts. the dashboard encompasses a quilted and perforated centre glove box, rugged details and a single spoke steering wheel. the kahn design ‘flying huntsman 6×6’ will be hard to find, because the british custom shop only produced one.
