origami lines form a strong shape for the karlmann king armored SUV. at 2.5 metre wide this six-tonne monster in matt black is a survival car that looks good in and out of survival mode. the vehicle is designed to operate in extreme temperatures, from minus 40°C up to 90°C  and with its futuristic sharp edges this one feels like it could live until the end of the earth.

the interior is pretty impressive too decorated in alcantara, gold threat, gold colored panels, and dark decorated wood. with a limousine-level rear passenger compartment separated from the front seats by a panel concealing a retractable wide-screen television with room for a playstation 4, a nespresso machine, a mini fridge, a small safe and apple TV if desired, as well as electrically operated pop-out tables and a rainbow of mood lighting. furthermore, the company can install audio-visual entertainment systems if required and satellite internet is also available.

priced at 12 million yuan, or $1.85 million/€1.6 million, the SUV represents a growing trend of investment across wealthier parts of beijing and shanghai where buyers are opting to personalise cars more and more in order to make them unique.

  • Does it come in hot pink as well?

    Admiral says:
  • What an ugly waste of time and money. This should really stay in a batcave and onyl show up when it is dark outside.

    Daniel Korb says:
  • Short-lived – hopefully.

does it come in hot pink says:
  • Interesting but just plain ugly. Probably marginally effective for personal security, but it would have a few easily targeted weak points, which is exactly where an unscrupulous and determined assailant would hit it, Also, the time commitment per vehicle . . . all those man hours? Oy! Too little time on the drawing board, obviously. Nothing on four wheels is worth that much money, and merely the fact that it takes so long speaks poorly of those who designed it.

    James says:
  • Super cool car!!

    Mitchell says:
  • At 1.85 million and no trailer hitch, useless…

    andy says:
  • Karl Farbmann is going to have to do better than that. NSDAP Designs were much better. The Final Reich needs something more liquid than that to get where we’re going, amirite???

    johnlambo says:
  • It’s beautiful. Very cool. Different. Kudos.

    Spanky says:
  • Proves some people have more dollars than sense…………

    Earl Simmins says:
  • looks cool!!!

    santosh says:
  • Looks ugly but the interior is NICE
