klaud wasiak: volkswagen moog

the volkswagen moog is a two-seat concept car created with inspiration from electronic music by designer klaud wasiak. the car is an all electric vehicle that has its own unique sound which blends the noise of classic cars with digital audio. you can here a clip of the car’s running sound at this link. because electric engines don’t make noise like internal combustion engines, wasiak took this opportunity to explore the car’s brand through the creation of this signature noise. the physical design of the car borrows from the past and introduces alien elements such as a series of fractals that run underneath and poke out into the exterior.

  • this is cool; but, maybe a mute button? that sound would make me nauseous after a couple minutes; roflmao.

    LML says:
  • Love the look of the car, really dislike the soundtrack. Had elements of Tron’s lightcycle, which I thought were neat, but there was an general 50’s scifi feel to it. Maybe turn off “Day the Earth Stood Still (1951”) and tune in “Bladerunner”, for inspiration, next time.
Did I mention the car looks great?

    Dan says:
  • Ditto above comments. Fun vehicle. As for the noise generator, sounds more like it should be in the new Stargate. LMAO d;-)

    Jetwax says:
  • Shouldn’t we striving to make the world a quieter place? Surely there is an alternative to sound to make the vehicle obvious to those with disabilities?

    madmaxii says:
  • Reminds me of the Meyer’s Tow’d from the late ’60s. ..a nice update, that needs a windshield.

Attracted some attention tho’ – it showed up on CRENK!.
