while we showcase a lot of new digital concepts, very few actually go into production and appear in stores. the kno dual screen tablet, could have been one of these products until it announced this week that it just raised 46 million USD and will release its first model before the end of the year. the investment included funding from marc andresssen, co-founder of netscape.  the kno will be sold for under 1,000 USD, aiming to meet the user needs of students who will be able to purchase and read textbooks through the device. by cutting out the printing of books, students can expect to pay less for their material in the near future. the device is also interactive, allowing users to take notes, draw and access the web.
