kyberz ‘eRod’ puts the thrills from a racetrack plus electric power on the road

the manufacturer of electric automobiles, kyberz switzerland, have created the ‘eRod’, an electric roadster which they say has been reduced to the raw essentials, bringing the racetrack to the road. it may not have an entertainment system boasting the latest technology, however, it can provide the power and acceleration that users will be so concentrated they needn’t notice.

the mid-spec ‘eRod fun’ has a 17.3 kWh battery for a range of 100 km and takes 10 hours to recharge the batteries but retains same the same electric engine (and power output) from the basic model. both have a maximum speed of 120 km/h;

the premium ‘race’ model, boasts a hefty 39 kWh battery and can reportedly travel 220 km between charges (taking four hours). its top speed is 130 km/h thanks to a more than 100 kW power increase to 147 kW.

  • Just a bit too ‘bare bones’. It needs a better body option.
