with the days numbered in the production of the lamborghini gallardo, the italian manufacturer has decided to introduce a street-legal variant of the company’s successful LP-570-4 super trofeo racecar. expected to make its world debut at the 2013 international motor show in frankfurt this september, the new ‘gallardo LP-570-4 squadra corse’ integrates a standard LP-570-4 chassis and the same V10 engine which is used in the racing version without modifications. together with aluminum and carbon fiber, the construction of the ‘squadra corse’ sees a weight reduction of over 70kgs, which gives the vehicle a power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per horsepower, bringing the 570hp raging bull from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and up to 320km/h.
