lexus reveals its first luxury yacht, the 65-foot LY 650

lexus has unveiled plans for its first luxury yacht, the LY 650. the 65-foot ship shows off the most recent revisitation of the japanese car company‘s stylistic ‘L-finesse’ design theme, following the path started with its sport yacht concept.

the LY 650 incorporates incorporates numerous characteristics of the prototype including its size. at 19.9 meters in length and a crosspiece of 5.7 meters, it stands out for its most pronounced bow, a bridge with sinuous curves and accentuated shapes for the sides of the stern. in profile, the elegant wavy movement of the company’s flagship car model is inserted in the wide rear section of the boat.

executive vice president, shigeki tomoyama, says his desire is to, ‘present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the lexus yacht expands the potential of lexus mobility to the ocean.’ boat builder marquis-larson boat group will construct, sell and service the vessel when it goes into production in 2019.
