LG SIGNATURE and fuksas architects talk infinite possibilities at LDF 2019

literally reflecting the endless possibilities of LG SIGNATURE’s technology and design, studio fuksas created the kaleidoscopic ‘infinity’ installation for the brand’s stand at IFA 2019 in berlin, germany. under the theme ‘art inspires technology, technology completes art’, the design represented the symbolic relationship between the two disciplines and how they are intertwined. at the same time, the exhibition space highlighted the company’s ultra premium products, which includes the OLED TV W, french door refrigerator and bottom-freezer refrigerator, wine celler, washer & dryer, air purifier and air conditioner.

LG SIGNATURE showcases their latest products at an exhibition in somerset house during london design festival 2019. the event includes a keynote lecture from the globally renowned architectural duo massimiliano and doriana fuksas, with massimiliano then participating in a panel discussions with even more experts in the field of technology and art. join the masters’ talk on september 18, here.

at IFA 2019, the ‘infinity’ installation highlighted LG SIGNATURE’s design DNA, which sits at the boundaries between art and technology. similarly, the creation also shared themes of fuksas’ work, as it was sculpted from their signature hexagonal pattern throughout. at first, this formed an undulating exterior façade around the stand, and a giant glimmering gate that visitors walked under to enter.

as a speculative and evocative setting for home appliances, the installation’s design was balanced by subtly posing an elegant yet simple aesthetic through its reflectiveness. this design ensured that the space was intriguing yet complemented the ultra premium products on show. as such it mirrored the emphatic quality and futuristic modernity of LG SIGNATURE’s range.
