‘super 73’, the recent undertaking of californian electric vehicle startup lithium cycles, has just entered the realm of success in an ongoing kickstarter campaign. developed with intent of re-creating the e-bike category, the moped’s design incorporates elements of 70’s so-cal lifestyle and motorcycle culture alongside contemporary aesthetics.

the result, made possible through use of a highly-capable lithium-ion battery, is a modern machine with 20 mile range and comfortable cruising of nearly 30mph (48km/h). for longer adventures, five pedal assist modes can be activated to increase or decrease motor power. other features of note include a thumb throttle, disc brake system for quick stops, and an integrated cup holder and bottle opener. from the beach to the streets, ‘super 73’ can get you there. to help further lithium cycle’s kickstarter campaign, visit their page here
