fashion meets connected-tech in looper tassel by IDIO creative works

korean-american studio IDIO creative works (I discover invisible opportunities) combines fashion with technology in ‘looper’, a tracker-embedded accessory. nick, IDIO’s CEO and creative director explains, ‘tracker technology can seem too technical and foreign, we wanted to take that and design it into something beloved and familiar — a tassel.’

made by hand with genuine italian leather, ‘looper’ helps prevent loss of personal property (and pets too!). simply latch the tassel onto the desired item and register online with the device’s integrated mobile app. an embedded bluetooth sensor enables such features as: audio-based ‘find it’ for mobile and device, notifications when specified distance between item and phone is reached, do not disturb mode, and a patented low-battery algorithm for extended capacity. to support the creation of looper, check out IDIO’s ongoing kickstarter campaign here.
