the founders of jet capsule, luca solla (CEO) and pierpaolo lazzarini (chief executive designer), have announced that their company is growing commercially and stylistically with the arrival of the ‘2015 jet taxi’. the vehicle is ‘just the first of many next generation water taxis’, as they expect it to become popular among major cities around the world such as dubai, doha, moscow, miami, and saint petersburg.

the vehicle can be equipped with two rear carbon doors, which provides a constant temperature level for its eight to twelve passengers. thus, this configuration can be used as the pilot project in one of the coldest cities in the world and also in one of the hottest. it is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 32 knots and is granted with RINA CE certification, to sail with waves up to two meters. these unique features also allow to operate for short and medium-range transportation, in full comfort and safety.

the project has recently selected for a public water taxi service in italy. as a result, many other cities now want to use it for similar purposes as solla and lazzarini see the potential for hybrid, electric, private, personal, diving, and ambulance versions.
