meaning ‘to reign’ in swedish, the koenigsegg ‘regera’ offers a combination of power, responsiveness and luxury to perform competitively on track, yet comfortably for everyday use. the super car is an alternative to the company’s traditional, extreme lightweight, race-like road vehicles as it also delivers a smooth driving experience. its direct drive transmission helps provide this and enables responsive control over the drysumped twin turbo 5.0 liter V8 internal combustion engine. combing with a 620 volt battery pack, the automobile has a powerful output of over 1500 hp and 2000 Nm torque, yet drastically minimizes its fuel consumption and co2 emissions.

limited to just 80 models, the handcrafted koenigsegg ‘regera’ has a completely new rear sub frame and structure that allows the motor and transmission to rest on active soft mounts. as well, on its back end, the car features a fully foldable, active, top-mounted wing that helps reduce drag whilst cruising and adds to its elegance when parked. its dynamic-looking front is recognizable from afar as its daylight running lights scatter LEDs around the lamp cluster, creating the effect of a constellation of stars. inside, the interior features electrically adjustable memory foam seats, a nine inch infotainment system which works with apple carplay, and 3G and wifi connectivity. with ambient lighting to top of the luxurious cabin, the ‘regera’ supercar will be on display at the 2015 geneva motor show.
