mercedes-AMG and cigarette racing joined forces for the sixth consecutive year to present the 41 foot ‘SD GT3’ boat influenced by the ‘GT3’ race car. ‘we are thrilled to partner with the mercedes-benz performance brand again this year to design our fastest open performance center console powerboat yet,’ explains skip braver, president and CEO of cigarette racing team. ‘the 41 foot SD GT3 embodies our brand’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship and once again shows the strength of our collaboration with mercedes-AMG.’

the boat is powered by a pair of mercury racing 1100 horsepower engines. the 41 foot long and 11 foot beat boat is able to achieve an estimated prop limited top speed of more the 100 mph with a focus on big water performance and weight of just over 20,000 pounds. the design and fittings reflect the dynamic characteristics of the mercedes-AMG ‘GT3’. the handcrafted interior and exterior, featuing matte components, a complete teak wood floor and a full extreme marine grade leather interior, all of which was designed by gorden wagener and his team.  

the speedboat is 41 feet long and 11 feet wide

‘mercedes-AMG and cigarette racing are known for iconic products,’ describes gorden wagener, head of design daimler AG. ‘designing the 41’ SD GT3 we used some unexpected design elements from our mercedes-AMG GT3 to create another racing icon, the most powerful “open performance” boat ever produced by the cigarette racing team.’

user interfaces as also maximized with bluetooth, computerized controls, three high definition 17 inch displays and an integrated garmin marine navigation and audio system. since 2007 the partnership has been united by a focus on delivering the ultimate in performance whether it be on land or water. the cigarette racing team is showcasing the collaboration that 2016 miami internation boat show from february 11 to the 15.
