the mercedes-benz ‘SL63 AMG world championship collector editions’ are two special models dedicated to lewis hamilton and nico rosberg’s formula 1 world title success. the automobile company is only making 19 of both the black and white versions, all of which are effectively a one-of-a-kind as each car represents one of the 19 formula 1 races. they feature an illustration of the track in question hand-embroidered on the floor mats and engraved on a badge in the center console and on the key. both speedsters contain an AMG 5.5 liter V8 biturbo engine that has an output of 585hp and torque of 600 newton meters, propelling its top speed to a championship level of 300 km/h. they also boast the AMG driver’s package, sports suspension, AIRSCARF and the bang & olufsen beosound AMG sound system.

the formula 1 champion for the 2014 season, lewis hamilton, decided to display his interest in glamor and the exceptional, with an athletically challenging black base that is finished in designo night black magno. in contrast, gold-colored lettering, fins and stripes on the rear bumper reflects a feeling of power and is also reminiscent in the interior with the rich-color stitching adorning the dark nappa leather seats.

oppositely, nico’s ‘SL63 AMG’ version provides an elegant contrast with the color-combination of a designo cashmere white magno finished body and himalayas grey door handles, wheels, lettering, fins and front bumper inserts. the mix is concurrent for the interior too, featuring exclusive style leather in titanium grey and deep white nappa for the lower instruments. the versions are available exclusively to the members of the mercedes-benz circle of excellence and will be handed over to the owners at the german grand prix 2015.
