As the era of the metaverse approaches, the hardware environment is diversifying to respond efficiently to this new exciting realm. From AR and VR glasses, to rollable display screens and folding smartphones, innovative products continue to test the waters every day. In this context, Korean designer Min Chang Kim has created Modulus, a modular smart controller that can be employed on any metaverse platform and accompany users on their hyper-realistic adventures.

adaptable controller for various uses and scenarios

Modulus by Min Chang Kim (see more here) is a next-generation device created to help you discover the unlimited potential of the metaverse world. The modular system smart controller is composed of a base module and three separate units: a holder unit for your smartphone, an AR gaming unit, and a Smart TV unit. These can be assembled depending on the way that the user wants to interact with the metaverse.

Thanks to its adaptable design, the Modulus can be used conveniently in a variety of environments and scenarios. For example, individuals can use the holder unit as a smart scope tool, similar to the controller grip accessories of the Oculus. In addition, users can also mount their smartphone onto two holder units and the base module in order to to handle it as a gaming controller. Once they’re done with their game, they can rearrange the setup and plug it in the Smart TV unit to digitally explore their favorite locations.
