omate has presented their latest piece of wearable technology – omate X, a companion smartwatch that connects to iPhone and android via bluetooth 4.0. designed as a modular digital timepiece, it is fully customizable and can be swapped out with any standard 22mm size watch strap. the device also pairs with third-party smartphones and tablets to display push notifications such as incoming calls, social media updates, reminders and more, directly on your wrist. other features include a built in speaker and microphone, curved 1.54-inch, 240 x 240 pixel color touchscreen and aluminum enclosure with sapphire coating.
the omate X will be available through kickstarter beginning september 1, 2014.
