it may seem at first glance, what you see is very much what you get with this minimalist stereo system. but as to be expected, the delight is in the details. the speckled exterior case is constructed with valchromat, fibrous wood panels impregnated with green or grey dye and resin, then accessorized with a single brass volume knob. similarly, each speaker is covered with radiant perforated brass speaker covers for a porous, glamorous finish. then hidden from view is one additional hi-end detail: an icepower bang & olufsen amplifier, with connections for phono-in, plus a buffered line input for digital sources.

osloform’s designers were inspired by minimalism, usability and tactile contrasts, striving to ‘cultivate the essence of a stereo as both hi-fi and furniture object’. it’s not what you’d expect to find in a typical audio store and there’s a good reason for that. launched in 2015, osloform is an oslo-based design studio made up of four young norwegian designers: camilla akersveen; åsmund engesland; christopher konings; and henrik waarum have a vision to bring modern norwegian design to the world.
