say goodbye to smelly shoes (finally) with the panasonic MS-DS100 – a shoe deodorizer set to go on sale in japan on september 20, 2018. no longer will you have to wear your favorite sneakers while knowing that that pungent smell – the one everyone is urgently trying to source, quarantine and eliminate – is actually coming from your footwear, no matter how clean they look from the outside. from now on, you can go home and sleep soundly whilst the device freshens your shoes ready for the next day.

the new panasonic shoe deodorizer is equipped with ‘nanoe X’ that generates and exhales hydroxyl radicals and ion particles to dissolve and eliminate unpleasant odors, which are caused by a smelly substance, called isovaleric acid, produced by foot sweat and bacteria. simply set the tech in the shoes, switch it on, and wait for the magic to happen. depending on which of the two modes is selected – normal or long – the process can take five hours or seven hours for the latter option. whilst the device is generating and spreading particles from six outlets to every corner on the shoe, it can run via mobile battery in case no AC power outlet is available.
