philippe starck: new fossil watches

designer philippe starck and watch maker fossil released two new watches in their ongoing collaboration. palindrome too and veiled are the two new models. palindrome too is an update of a previous model featuring a polyurethane strap and stainless steel face. the watch tells the time through two dials each with a single hand. the hours are on the left and the minutes on the right. the watch comes in two colour combinations including black, silver and gray, orange.

veiled on the other hand is a more traditional design by stark featuring a black stainless steel bracelet and two handed face. the fossil watch is stripped down to only the basics and the face is partly covered to make it blend into the rest of the bracelet. the new veiled is a slimmed down version of a previous design.

  • bewbs?

    iam.ddo says:
  • boring. Starck, where is your edge?

    manu says:
  • stark you are getting to commercial. Where is the designers spark gone.

    Kerry says:
  • mmm……… anyone else think Rado when they see the last watch!

    db says:
  • This fun relation with the + sign. A bit strange.

Did the manual to understand comes with it, because aunt Magy will think this is a new MP3 player. (-:

I respect and love Mister Starck

    Poetti says:
  • i think it is not really bad 🙂 / grey and yellow one

    SEOULISH says:
  • jawn

    Bart EHV says:
  • I like how the hands of the new veiled are connected to the center.

    daniel says:
  • The Palindrome Too is two different time zones. I just got it and it has two crowns to adjust each face. I live in Chicago and my family lives on the west coast so I have the face on the left set for central time and the one on the right set for west coast time. The plus sign is the minutes and the hand is the hours on each watch. You should make a correction to the original posting.

    Zach says:
  • i went to both fossil and stark sites and neither show these watches. i think the dual hand watches are lovely if not radical. good design doesn’t have to be offensive.

    Luc says:
  • Starck is losing it. Where’s the touch? Where’s the carefulness? Where’s the Starck we met from the early-90s?

It is very sad to see where Philippe Starck is going to. Once a reference in design, now just ‘another one in the pond’. I wish the good old inspiring Starck was back… he should really renew all his office staff. The designers he has working for him are running out of ideas and freshness. Starck, you should bring on new blood. C’mon. You can do better than this.
