piaggio avanti evo P.180 twin turboprop aircraft takes its first flight

the most recent piaggio avanti P.180 twin turboprop, made in italy, is now is flying in the united states, with a recent delivery at john wayne airport in orange county, california. the ‘P.180’ airplane is known for its aerodynamic performance from its three-lifting-surface configuration, placing the main wing towards the rear of the fuselage, a smaller wing at the nose, also known as a canard, provides extra lift and efficiency, while a third wing is mounted on the tail. combined with powerful turboprop engines, the aerodynamic boost lets the ‘evo’ cruise at speeds up to 463 mph (793 km/h) for more than 1900 miles (3000 km).

piaggio’s third generation of the ‘P.180 twin turboprop’ airplane is quieter and more fuel-efficient than its predecessors, plus its service and support network has also been improved. it now features five-blade scimitar propellers to boost performance, added safety + security systems, plus comfortable cabin layout options. with its ceiling standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall, the custom interior is roomy for eight people in car-like iacobucci leather seats that can fully recline and rotate, sleek fold-down tables, adjustable lighting, room for additional baggage, plus smartphone connectivity. highly restricted noise levels, and a cabin altitude of just 6,600 feet, allows passengers to relax in a peaceful ambience.
