following his motto ‘think about the future and never forget the past’, designer pierpaolo lazzarini imagines a fusion between a modern jet ski and a vespa 50 special from the 60s. the water vehicle, conceived for the recreational purpose, is made of fiberglass and allows for speed of up to 30 knots.

the elegant lines of the legendary motorbike are precisely repeated in the new water vehicle — even the reflectors are placed where they used to be. while the jet is not running, to facilitate the accommodation/access of the passengers, a gimbal self-balancing system keeps it aligned with the water surface.

lazzarini proposes the water toy in two configurations — equipped with an electric 39hp engine, which would cost you $25.000, and a cheaper one, equipped with a 330cc 39hp twin stroke engine, for $19.000. both vehicles will be able to reach a maximum speed of 32 knots with an estimated autonomy of 3 operating hours for the electric version.

  • That is very cute …but does not likey represent the self-image of the people who gravitate to Jet Skis.
