polaroid revives instant film with its onestep2 i-type camera

polaroid originals creates a brand new instant camera with the same retro design as classic polaroids. the ‘onestep 2 i-type’ is influenced by polaroid’s original onestep, but updated to create a contemporary, easy-to-use instant camera. it features a high-quality lens and a powerful flash to give photographers great photos every time instantly, and its long-lasting rechargeable battery means it will be ready to shoot, whether on a day trip, or an adventure round the world.

the impossible project, which produces film for old polaroid cameras, announced earlier this month it would launch a new brand named polaroid originals, with the aim of taking instant photography back to its roots. on the 80th anniversary of the american manufacturer, the people behind the impossible project have launched the new brand, which arrives alongside the ‘onestep2 i-type’ instant camera. the company is also launching brand new film in both color and black-and-white, while continuing to produce film compatible with classic polaroid cameras.

built for the modern era, the ‘onestep2 i-type’ combines old-school instant film aesthetics with contemporary features. it includes a built-in flash, a self timer, ‘long-lasting’ battery-life, and it can even be charged via USB. the ‘onestep2’ is now available for preorder and the camera is expected to be shipped in october.
