a car scanner that uses artificial intelligence technology can study the exterior and understand what is wrong with the vehicle in 3 seconds. the technology, called ‘proovstation’, uses 25 cameras to produce 600 photos that make up a total 360-degree image of the car.

proovstation is an automated drive-through bay which detects vehicle damages including tier wear, dents and scratches. using a system powered by artificial intelligence, it is able to analyse the type of damage before calculating the cost of repair.
the benefits of using an automated scanner is to increase the accuracy of damage recognition while reducing inspection costs. it also offers extra services from a user-friendly dashboard including repair estimate, inspection comparison log, used car pricing, integration and KPI tracking, insurance report and other fully customized options.
proovstation claims that the technology has a 99% accuracy rate and could save up to 50% in costs as a result of traditional methods of inspection. it was announced last month that the company behind the scanner, weproov, would deploy up to 40 automated inspection portals for auto auction provider BCA group across 13 european countries starting in february.
