to help runners push themselves to the limits, puma created ‘beatbot’ – a four-wheeled robot capable of hitting speeds as fast as usain bolt. together with MIT engineers and j. walter thompson ad agency, the project connects to mobile app where runners can input specific lap times they’d like to reach.

the sporty robot has nine built-in infrared sensors designed to follow the track lines and monitors the revolution of its wheels to sustain the pre-determined pace. the ‘beatbot’ is also equipped with a rear-facing gopro camera and LED lights to help the runner train.
