scott sports alongside schoeller have developed the ‘RC pro tec’ cycling outfit using a one of a kind blend of carbon and ceramic prints. the fabric’s ITD protect technology provides higher abrasion resistance than regular material, resulting in better protection in the case of quick speed crashes. in road race events, collisions at fast pace occur frequently, luckily not often causing broken bones, but cause tearing of the skin. the knitted carbon yarns ensure higher breakage strength, as well as an antibacterial effect. this combined with the ceramic printing leads to high robustness and durability, even for clatters on asphalt. the scott ‘RC pro tec’ tested for two years, is used on the shoulders and the sides of the bibshorts, and will be available in 2015.
