sonos syncs entire home acoustics with multi channel amplifier
SONOS’ amp multi system extends sound experience through architectural spaces providing an immersive sensory experience.
SONOS TAILORS COMPACT SOUND FOR OPEN FLOOR PLANS
With the Amp Multi, Sonos introduces a compact streaming amplifier designed to streamline complex residential audio setups. Engineered for multi-room integration, the system enables precise multi-zone control, adapting sound performance to overcome challenging room geometries and speaker placements. Developed in close collaboration with industry professionals, the amplifier features Sonos’ ecosystem with tightly integrated hardware and software. To deliver flexible control, broad streaming support, and reliable long-term performance across the entire lifecycle of an installation.

with an effortless setup amp multi adapts as DESIGNs EVOLVE
Long trusted for making high-quality audio effortless, the Californian brand brings its philosophy directly to integrators and architects. The Amp Multi is designed to adapt as a house evolves, pairing Sonos’ streaming platform with a highly flexible setup. As a result, any audio output can be assigned to any room, allowing systems to grow simply by adding more units. Additionally, each of Amp Multi’s eight amplified outputs can power up to three Sonos Architectural speakers, supporting installations across multiple rooms without losing sound quality or system stability.
‘Sonos Amp is the most widely used two-channel streaming amplifier in residential installation because it’s powerful, dependable, and intuitive,’ declares Tom Conrad, CEO of Sonos. ‘Amp Multi takes that same philosophy and applies it to larger systems. It makes ambitious designs more efficient to build and install, and easier to live with.’

CLEANER RACKS, EASIER SERVICEABILITY AND SILENT PERFORMANCE
Inside the minimal chassis, a GaN power architecture enables cool, fanless operation. Ensuring long-term reliability behind walls or in tight spaces. Meanwhile, eight power channels delivers up to 24 speakers, the system easily groups across four zones. Multiple units link seamlessly to scale high-fidelity sound across larger layouts.

Specifically built for equipment racks, the compact unit features a space-saving flat-back design and recessed connectors. Consequently, physical installation remains fast and clean, requiring just four screws to secure the hardware. Triggered via the Sonos app, each unit plays a unique sound for quick identification in crowded racks.

For challenging rooms, the ProTune calibration tool offers precise sound shaping via a 10-band parametric EQ and delay control. Together with pre-loaded acoustic profiles, this digital tuning guarantees balanced, high-fidelity sound tailored to any architectural environment.
‘Drawing on professionals’ deep understanding of real-world installation challenges us to design a product around how they actually work,’ says Chris Heintzelman, VP, Product at Sonos. ‘The goal was to reduce friction at every stage of a project, from installation and setup to system tuning.’
