making its world premiere at the 2015 auto shanghai show, the startech ‘pickup’ transforms the five-door range rover into a classy transport specialist. the plastic-lined pickup bed which is a square shape, offers a loading length of 110 cm when the tailgate is closed, and provides an additional 60 cm when opened. using coach building traditions that were once common for english luxury cars, the modifications had to maintain the same torsional rigidity and the striking appearance of the original. along with its improved versatility, it features a five-liter eight-cylinder supercharged engine that produces 526 hp, races from 0 – 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.

the exclusive, all-wheel-drive car has a refinement widebody that hosts fender flares, a bumper and a spoiler at the front, and air deflectors which reduce aerodynamic lift on the side. furthermore, the startech ‘pickup’ has a new rear bulkhead with heated tinted windows, and even with the shortened roof, it retains a fully panoramic sunroof which is renown for range rovers. transitioning to the interior, the cabin has a mix of alcantara leathers and carbon fiber elements. this, covering the dashboard, seats and door panels, is all precisely color-coordinated with the exterior, featuring black leather with red stitching.
