in what might cause road-side TV binge fests globally, elon musk has announced that soon you will be able to stream youtube and netflix in your tesla cars. in a series of tweets, the news only confirms that the ability will be provided soon and only permitted when the vehicle is stopped. it follows a recent trend where the electric car manufacturer has enabled streaming services – like the ‘beach buggy racing 2’ and further atari video games – on its oversized displays, which have increased in size per new model.

ability to stream youtube and netflix when car is stopped coming to your tesla soon. has an amazingly immersive, cinematic feel due to the comfy seats and surround sound audio,’ says elon musk who continues to say, ‘when full self-driving is approved by regulators, we will enable video while moving’. so until fully autonomous vehicles are approved for our roads, tesla owners will be restricted to using streaming services whilst parked up.
