with a top speed of over 400 km/h (250 mph), the tesla ‘roadster’ is an electric supercar that accelerates from 0 – 60 mph in 1.9 s, 0 – 100 mph in 4.2 s. the american-automaker may have just produced an electric car quicker than the bugattichiron’s‘ of this world.

tesla’s ‘roadster’ makes use three electric motors, one integrated at the front and two at the rear, and takes power from a 200 kWh battery pack – for context that is twice the capacity of the ‘model S P100D’. the manufacturer claims this offers a 620 mile (998 km) range. the supercar can seat up to four people, with a slightly larger interior architecture compared with other roadsters. the design team has taken an unconventional approach to building its convertible, so the central roof panel lifts out and can be stored inside the boot.

  • That was CGI, no? I will be in a nursing home when this is road-ready if released on Musk’s schedule.

  • There is a test drive on YouTube by now you know guys. It looks insanely fast.

  • The roadster looks very nice but hopefully this time production costs will be lower than the selling price.
I love the idealistic views and the products Tesla brings on the markets, however disappointments are beginning to stack up and they are burning through cash as crazy and have never made a dime of profit. When the hype of the stock will end bankruptcy will follow soon after.

  • This T H I N G drove out of a truck on a TESLA show – so it really exists. If it actually goes 400km/h is another question (can’t they stop using those medieval imperial measures???).
The have to lead the gang, don’t they? Who, if not TESLA/Musk just MUST have the most rediculous and awesome car. This is their concept and it works: be the first, be the best, be the leader. That’s where the money goes.
