the ‘solar cross e bike’ by terry hope of e-bike research and development company thekpv is capable of operating just on solar power. the lightweight structure incorporates eight photovoltaic panels that weight 0.1kg each, enabling it to move without batteries. the hybrid bike prototype weighs less than 22kg all together and utilizes a highly reflective material on the sides of its solar panels for indirect sun exposure.
