action movies where cars end up sinking in the sea no longer have the excuse to use the same trope. introducing cybercat and cybercat foiler, components designed to quickly transform cybertruck into an all-electric, high-performance amphibious catamaran.

 

the versatility of tesla’s cybertruck with its large battery, tough construction, and adaptive air suspension makes it a suitable candidate for an amphibious watercraft. the adaptive ride height of the cybertruck and the folding inflatable pontoons of the cybercat provide ground clearance. once in the water, the electric outboard motors, pontoons, and hydrofoils fold down, and the wheels retract out of the water for a quick takeoff. in shallow water or around docks, cybercat can precisely maneuver propelled by the wheel rotation of the cybertruck.

portable and easy to install

 

living in the greater seattle area on puget sound, I’ve dreamed about having a way to easily and quickly hop across the water whenever I desired, that was inexpensive, didn’t require boat parking (marina mooring), and, most importantly, was clean given my background in climate tech,says inventor anthony diamond, the CEO and founder of memory maps inc.this past summer, I developed a concept for a portable, hydrofoiling, electric water vehicle that could collapse for storage in a bike locker. this personal watercraft would allow a user to quickly transition from crossing water to becoming a pedestrian without the need for boat parking or to carry around the vehicle’s extra weight. in a vehicle like a cybertruck that could travel faster in the water, this crossing would become more feasible.

 

installation or breakdown can be completed by a single person in less time than it takes to launch a boat. all components fold or collapse into parts that can be easily stowed in the cybertruck vault. an integrated suite of frame interconnect sensors, power, and data connections, and pontoon pressure transducers digitally verify that every aspect of the cybercat is assembled correctly before you ever touch the water. built-in actuated jacks make contact with the vehicle lift points and automatically pre-tension the frame to the correct specification.

designed with modularity in mind, the cybercat is meant to be fully extensible to the cybercat foiler, allowing a customer to upgrade from the lowest cost cybercat base model to the highest performing, most expensive model of the cybercat foiler by simply adding additional components. these components are designed with ergonomics in mind to allow a single person to fully transform their cybertruck into a cybercat or cybercat foiler in less time than it takes to launch a comparable boat. ‘to increase the speed of this transformation, the cybercat and cybercat foiler have been designed to be road-legal with all components still attached excluding the pontoons and front hydrofoil, bringing the transition time down to 5-10 minutes,adds diamond.

 

clean and comparatively inexpensive access to the recreational boating experience has the potential to massively expand the size of the market while providing responsible stewardship of the environment through reduced water, air, and carbon pollution. the cybercat and cybercat foiler open up a new and exciting front in the mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
