stockholm-based tech company transparent sound has unveiled the transparent speakers — a product stripped to the essential elements, built from one aluminium uniframe and tempered glass panels. setting music as the main focus of the design, the speakers are envisioned to be both a great sounding piece of technology that can be upgraded over time as well as an interior object.

bearing everything, the transparent sound speaker by transparent sound comes with bluetooth but is ready for whatever tech that might come after. to use it, there is no need for any app as it features a compartment in the bottom that can hold and power various wireless upgrades, allowing customers to keep the product updated to their preferences and change only a small part when something new comes up instead of replacing the whole unit.

‘our ambition is to create qualitative tech products that age with dignity and might even be passed on to the next generation,’ comments transparent sound. ‘boldly speaking, we aim for a sustainable closed-loop system.’

the transparent speakers are available in two sizes: the small one has a €500 euro tag price; while the full size one doubles that price at €1,000 euro.
