trombia free is an electric, autonomous and silent street sweeper

the streets of helsinki have a new cleaning vehicle — the trombia free. developed in finland, this is the world’s first electric and autonomous street sweeper. it consumes only 15% of the energy required by conventional brushing vacuum cleaning machines and does not generate emissions during cleaning. furthermore, the unprecedented street sweeper consumes only a fraction of the amount of water required in conventional cleaning methods.

the trombia free features a technology that relies on suction performance developed in the 1950s. equipped with an all-weather autonomous, lidar-based, machine vision technology that filtrates the noise coming from the environment in rainy, snowy or alternative conditions. the advanced algorithm development has been carried out to absorb data on objects from various sources and to generate millions of illustrations of the object at once. this enables accurate and safe localization in all-weather condition.
