looking to change the way yachts are experienced on the water, oceanco invited van geest design to create a new dimensional lighting experience for its 90 meter platform. ‘moonstone’ interacts with its surroundings using advanced lighting construction that has the ability to anticipate the different moments of the day. developed in close partnership with temeloy advanced lighting design, a large collection of triangular facets frame the rounded hull to create contrasting surfaces but also keep the shape uncluttered and unadulterated. complying with the latest regulations, the panels are shock and impact resistant, and can handle sea water and rigorous yacht use.

the pattern possibilities with the integrated lights are seemingly endless. a set or random patterns can be programmed which can be controlled by the owner through a mobile device or by the on-board entertainment system. oceanco’s 90 meter platform is engineered to offer customers ultimate flexibility, including an entire owner’s deck, a gym and spa area, a cinema and an helicopter pad. electrically, the light panels are designed to self-sufficient using 70 square meters of solar panels on top of the main structure.

accommodating 12 guests with ease, ‘moonshot’ also includes a glowing swimming pool and jacuzzi. custom exterior deck furniture is designed to be modular and lightweight with relatively low maintenance needs. the implemented technology has been engineered for this design, it is no longer a dream, but technically feasible. van geest design hopes to see the design through when oceanco make it a reality.
