vintage electric tracker bicycle fuses modern luxury with classic styling

vintage electric fuses the classic look of an early 20th century board track race-bicycle with a modern 3000 watt electric motor. the california-based manufacturer houses the ‘tracker’ bike’s battery pack and electronics in an aluminum V-twin engine-styled battery box, while its 52 V lithium-ion batteries provide a range of 36 miles, reaching fully-charged capacity in just two hours.

vintage electric’s ‘tracker’ is built on a lightweight hydro-formed aluminum frame with old school-styling from 1915. the ebike is packed with high-quality elements, from the brooks leather spring saddle and stacked leather handgrips, to the chunky schwalbe ‘fat frank’ tires (with flat-stopping kevlarguard). the rider enjoys a smooth ride with suspension forks at the front, while a rear fender helps prevent their back gathering road dirt during rides, while enhancing the retro appearance.

the ‘tracker’s’ performance is provided by its 3000 W rear hub electric motor, that can be switched between ‘street mode’ (250 to 750w) giving speeds of up to 20 mph, or ‘race mode’ (off-road only due to legalities) boosting its top speed to 36 mph.  a regenerative braking system is integrated to shimano ‘alfine’ hydraulic disk brakes, which recharges some of the battery’s capacity while providing a smooth deceleration.
