THE VOLKSWAGEN ID. BUZZ IS SET TO LAUNCH ON MARCH 9, 2022

 

following its first announcement in 2017, the official world premiere of volkswagen’s all-electric ID. Buzz is set to take place on march 9, 2022. available in two versions — bus and cargo — the electric edition of the legendary cult-status microbus has been fully rethought and redesigned, with spacious and versatile interiors made with sustainable materials.

COMPACT ON THE OUTSIDE AND SPACIOUS ON THE INSIDE

 

the ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo are both compact on the outside and spacious on the inside. by utilizing the space-saving MEB concept, the five-seater ID. Buzz provides space for 1,121 liters of luggage even with all passengers on board, while the maximum storage volume of the ID. Buzz Cargo, equipped with a partition behind the first row of seats, amounts to more than 3.9 m3.

the interiors incorporate elements from the T1 generation and transfers them to the current era of electric mobility. the ID. Buzz will be available in seven single color options and four two-tone color schemes. the colors correspond to the exterior paintwork and can also be reflected in the seat cushions, dash panel and door trim. available with up to 30 colors, the background lighting provides atmospheric accents.

committed to sustainability, the two models stay away from leather and other materials of animal origin and substitutes them with materials with similar properties and feel. for example, the steering wheel rim is made of a leather-like polyurethane. the seat covers, floor covering and headliner are made using recycled products, like the SEAQUAL® yarn, consisting of approximately 10 per cent marine plastic and approximately 90 per cent PES (recycled PET bottles).
