Bondclip is a portable, wireless clip-on mouse

Meet BondClip, a wireless clip-on mouse that loops around a laptop or tablet’s edges so users don’t lose it in their bags. Designed to work on the go, the accessory features a G-shaped form, which creates the loop that makes it work like a clip. Users can then attach it to the edge of their laptop screen, and the mouse stays in place while they move. A silicone pad on the inside helps create friction. It stops it from slipping and protects the device, too.

The team behind the wireless clip-on mouse, BondArch, says that the accessory is lightweight because it only weighs 72 grams. It also doesn’t take up so much space, and it’s big enough not to get lost under cables. BondClip is made from one sheet of metal, including the G-shaped hook. There are no extra parts for the clip, as the shape itself does the job. The surface is smooth and semi-reflective, and the wireless clip-on mouse comes in two finishes.

Adjustable DPI to change the cursor’s speed

The features of the wireless clip-on mouse are quite the same as the standard models. It comes with a dual-mode connection, so users can connect it either with a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver or with Bluetooth 5.4, allowing them to switch between devices, like a laptop and a tablet. The mouse has adjustable DPI to control how fast the cursor moves on the screen, and users can choose a slower speed for detailed work, like design tasks, or a faster one for browsing or general use. One full charge of the wireless clip-on mouse gives up to 130 hours of use, so users can bring the device with them and use it for several days without charging.

When the battery is low, they can charge it with a USB-C cable. The team says that the design process included tests and changes after starting with simple sketches. So far, they’ve built prototypes to test the clip and the shape and have since then improved the curves and the grip step by step. The final result gives them a G-shaped form for the hook of BondClip, allowing the device to hang on the edges of laptops or tablets so users can bring them like a laptop accessory. So far, the team is setting up the campaign for the wireless clip-on mouse.
