the withings ‘activité’ smart-watch encourages user fitness and promotes a healthy lifestyle through movement and sleep monitoring. designed in paris and manufactured using exclusive materials in switzerland, the tool fuels a healthy motivation by tracking movements, keeping the wearer continuously informed and supported until the goal is reached. powered by an eight month-lasting CR2025 button cell battery, the ‘activité’ is available for pre-orders and will be released to the general market from the end of november 2014.

the watch’s high-end dials come in two colors: a sleek black pattern with an orange accent and a glistening white face with a blue highlight. they are protected by a scratch-proof domed sapphire glass that sits on top of a 5ATM water-resistant stainless alloy steel case. this makes it durable, corrosive-resistant and water-proof at depths of 50 meter, meaning it can even function during swimming workouts. as well as logging the user’s exercises, the corresponding health mate app is able to build an in-depth graph of sleep patterns to determine the best quality situation indicators. furthermore, the device will wake the wearer up with a gentle vibration at a set time.

the withings ‘activité’ features a fine calf leather strap that has straight cut waxed sides in a black or tawny barenia leather from haas tannerie. these soft grains that age over time, can be easily changed for different exercises by activating the quick-release spring bars. this adds to the created personality of the ‘activité’ which combines fitness tracking and smart-watch functions in a contemporary design.
