made possible by autonomous driving and optional car sharing, xoio and the institute of urban mobility have created an attractive, and fully feasible alternative to current transportation systems. mobuno combines the flexibility of privately booked taxis with the bus-like smart reaction to pick up requests from other users will en route to maintain maximum efficiency.  the current design allows up to 4 persons to use a mobuno unit simultaneously, but multiple units can be strung together to increase capacity.

mobuno, designed by xoio, is a car sharing autonomous driving system

mobuno does not require any special streets – it simply integrates into current road standards, to ease the transition into a new systems. after the ride, these autonomous vehicles can park themselves by tightly squeezing together and rearranging when units leave or enter the parking area through the units’ abilities to communicate and interact with one another. space for humans to interact with the vehicles is only required after they left the storage area.

if a party is larger than 4, the mobuno units can connect to create a chain of moving cabins

if a unit moves in or out of parking, the existing units will shift to utilize the least amount of space
