Zero Labs, an automotive manufacturer which has made its name for electrifying beloved classic vehicles, has unveiled a completely reimagined 5-door Land Rover Series 109. The team playfully refers to this model as the ‘Anti-Cyber Truck,’ as the boxy, retro icon returns with a fully electric upgrade. By integrating Zero Labs’ Generation 4 electric platform, the reimagined classic is at once an homage to timeless car design and a push toward ‘the future we need.’ The Los Angeles-based company has already electrified iconic vehicles like the Ford Bronco, the Ford F-250, and the Defender 110. The 2025 Land Rover Series 109 is a continuation of the team’s drive toward an electric future, marking a new chapter in the global movement toward zero-emission vehicles.

After three years of rigorous development and testing, Zero Labs presents the electric 5-door Land Rover Series 109 with nearly 4,000 proprietary design upgrades to improve safety and performance. Unlike DIY conversion shops, the team carefully redesigns each vehicle, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and performance. ‘Global electrification of existing vehicles has been largely ignored,’ says Adam Roe, Founder and CEO of Zero Labs Automotive. ‘Since launching Zero Labs, we’ve received over 80,000 order requests…This demand motivated us to rethink and innovate, redesigning everything without wasting billions on overseas factories.’

Roe continues, ‘New electric vehicles alone won’t solve the problem of global emissions. Zero Labs represents the only scalable solution for 99% of the world’s current vehicles, starting with the most iconic models.’

Beyond its electrification, the 5-door Land Rover Series 109 is revived by Zero Labs with advanced features that bring it into the modern age. Innovations addressing interior comfort include laser-cut precision vent flaps and an advanced heating and air conditioning system, while redesigned flat floors increase interior space by 25%. Meanwhile, performance upgrades include adjustable ride height control, an auto-sensing rack-and-pinion steering, 600HP dual-motor configuration, and a range of over 250 miles.

Beyond these contemporary upgrades, Zero Labs preserves the vehicle’s classic aesthetics. With this in mind, no large touchscreens have been added — instead, analog-style gauges stay true to the original design, with digital diagnostics accessible through a mobile app or a hidden screen.

Only 25 units of the electric Land Rover Series 109 will be available in 2025, with priority given to investors and existing customers. ‘Classic Electric Broncos made Zero Labs famous,’ says Roe. ‘But this reimagined Land Rover Series 109 brings us to a global stage. This is the future of our past.’
