french architecture firm gilles & boissier (patrick gilles and dorothée boissier) have developed ‘sit on my doudoune’ for milan-based
fashion house moncler. the furniture piece transforms the quilted jacket, an iconic garment of the clothing brand, into a sofa.
the one-off piece is a nylon covered goose down padded quilt with graphic horizontal stitching, reflecting the details in the vest.

‘sit on my doudoune’ (translating to ‘sit on my jacket’) was presented during milan design week 2012 in the storefront’s vitrine
of moncler on via della spiga 7. in the shop window, the sofa was surrounded by a simple sequence of neon tubes which ran vertically
along the walls of the space, accentuating the horizontal quality of the quilting.
