farm group: paddles

creative studio farm group has sent to designboom their newest installation, ‘paddles’. the thai design firm has developed the sculpture for a commercial center in the phitsanuloke province in thailand. a collection formed by hundreds of painted wooden rowing paddles ranging in shades beginning with a bright, a deep blue and running through the color spectrum to a vibrant green spanning the length of the ceiling. farm group recalls the power and importance of boat racing in phitsanuloke and the activity’s symbolic nature. the creative company tells designboom the work stands for ‘teamwork, unity and energy to move forward as a whole.‘
