Introducing one of our 3 styles of Iga-Yaki porcelain. A true handmade Wabi-Sabi beauty with over 1200 years of history, perfectly suited for your unique experience of tea, coffee or other beverages.
This version comes with a speckled dark clay and lively fresh Hydrangea coloured glaze.
The finishing of the glaze ranges from bright blue to matte gray.
Iga-yaki is a pottery style that dates back over 1200 years. In the 17th century, this pottery type from the Mie Prefecture broadly influenced its era with vessels and vases used in tea ceremonies.
Nowadays, due to the high quality of its 3 million year old clay, Iga-yaki is mostly known for tableware such as earthen pots for everyday use. Especially because of their sturdiness and high heat resistance.
Tiny pebbles inside the gaerome clay give our cups their distinctive rough look. Glazed or unglazed – each of our cups has their own unique character. Due to these cups being handmade, sizes and finish may differ slightly.

Always being fascinated by traditional craftsmanship, we got together in 2015 to start the intercontinental endeavour that is now Asemi Co.

With our cup design we lean on traditional shapes but give it a more contemporary character. Each style of cup has a unique look, depending on the type of pottery it was created from.

shipping policy
Your ordered items will be shipped within 1-5 working days, after your payment has been confirmed.
The delivery company is Yamato Transport within Japan, and the items will be handed over to their international partner UPS. The tracking number will be available after a few days. You can not specify the delivery date. Items will be shipped as soon as possible.
refund policy
If the delivered product is defective or is different from the ordered product, please contact us within 7 days from the date of delivery.
We will refund the full cost of the merchandise and shipping charges if the return is a result of our error or defective product.
After the product arrives, we will check the condition of the product and send a replacement or refund.
Please make sure to contact us in advance when returning the product. We cannot accept returns without prior notice.
Please note that we do not accept returns for reasons of personal preferences.
