designboom has received images of the london-based artist david batchelor’s show ‘slugfest’, a light and scrap-metal exhibition for galeria leme. most pieces showcased are formed from industrial steel pipes ranging in a few inches to nearly 6.5 feet in length which were gathered from junk-yards just outside sao paulo. the angled, curved or straight pipes rest on the gallery floor and are decorated at either end with neon tube lights lining the interior rim of each vacant circle, the artificial light refracting off of the finished concrete ground.
