li hui: transition

'transition'
'transition' is an installation staged by light and laser artist li hui.
it features a car wreck salvaged by the artist and illuminated with over 13000 laser
lights mounted on the museum's ceiling. the heat released from the laser lights brings about
a rising fog that envelopes the surrounding space. in doing this, hui visualizes two polarizing
emotions into one imagery.

work unconsciously' -LH
buddhism plays a crucial role for the artist – especially the meaning of metempsychosis,
which is expressed by the ascending fog.
