ifeanyi oganwu of london based studio expand design has created ‘full circle’, a multi-user object with a sweeping and undulating form.

arousing curiosities and inviting multiple modes of habitation, the abstract bench was derived from an exploration of the negative space between two common chairs.

using advanced modeling processes, the overall volume is devoid of ninety degree angles, instead implementing gently curved surfaces. a central backrest unfolds to define the overall form, consequently generating a seamless continuation between backrest, seat and base.

cast in concrete and covered in a lacquered finish, the seating arrangement aims to develop a new biomorphic typology that emerges from the bulbous object.
