pascal charmolu: fly swatter

'fly swatter' by pascal charmolu

french born, sweden-based designer pascal charmolu of born in sweden has exhibited his new interpretation of the traditional
fly swatter at the fall edition of maison et objet 2011. ironically using the form of insect wings as the formal idea behind the design,
the two flaps snap together, increasing the force upon impact. to continue with the visual satire, the way in which it is packaged
places the device in the shape of a fly. however, the tool has more than just a whimsical purpose since the holes on the surface
allow for air to flow through, heightening the speed of the swat. when not in use, the two sides act as legs so the apparatus can
be stored vertically.

available in a variety of colors

to make the movement even more visually pleasing, the swatter is
available in four colors. although its purpose is to kill insects,
it's kind to the environment by using impact resistant recyclable plastic.
