eco espresso maker

conventional espresso machines consume a lot of energy, even when they are in 'off' mode.
british designer patrick hunt of therefore has designed an eco espresso maker for presso,
in which coffee is made through a controlled blend of pressure and temperature.
the machine is manually powered and only a small amount of energy is used to boil a kettle.
made from polished aluminium, the espresso maker can also be recycled at the end of its life.

use coffee grounds suitable for espresso machines and tamp them down
firmly with the presso
spoon tamp. after filling the presso with hot
water, raise the handles of the machine and let the water
infuse the
grinds for 15-25 seconds. then, push the handles downwards in a smooth
motion
and hold them at the end of the stroke and wait for the water to
be extracted.
But, there is a manually operated espresso maker,

very cool, check it out
also the aeropress does the same thing

and to those who feel that this is sacrilege, there are advantages to having appliances that don't require electricity.
