‘blinky retro iOS typewriter interface’ by secret geometry

consumers are flocking to vintage products like record players, cameras, and typewriters; are vintage computers next? that’s the idea behind ‘blinky’, a new text editor developed by north american studio secret geometry. available for downloadon the mac app store, the software stands out from other word processors with its sleek visuals, sounds, and animations. it allows users to recreate the look of any retro monitor, with real-time 3D effects like curvature, reflection, scan-lines, flicker, and burn-in, as well as a dozen classic fonts. the app also has the ability to generate ‘text art’ from photos or live video, as well as the option to save screenshots.

Reminds me of the days when adventure games were all text-based with no graphics and storage was via audio cassette recorder….

Makes one feel very nostalgic for the not-so-distant past.

in addition to the awarded designs, we do feel that almost all deserve our attention, that is why we publish
the best 100-200 entries too.)
